has easy access to both pits. Pit #2 has large petrified logs and further digging will be required to uncover precious opals. Pit number 5 is where all the opals for sale on the website come from. My mining shed is located on Opalescence overlooking pit #5. Future plans are to work existing opal seams and banks. A backhoe was used for prospecting , D-6 bulldozer for excavating pits and a small excavator was used for breaking down banks.
